# Care that works *for everyone.*

Mental health care should be easy to reach, whatever your abilities, your devices or your connection. We build the TalkDoc website and the patient and clinician portals so that people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, captions and other assistive technology can use them with confidence.

## What we aim for.

- ### The standard we follow

  We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA on the TalkDoc website and in the patient and clinician portals. New screens are built against that standard, and we test existing ones against it.
- ### How we check

  We test with keyboards, screen readers and zoom, in English and Spanish, on phones and computers. Automated checks run with every change, and people review what automation cannot judge.
- ### Phone visits and plain words

  Every visit can happen by a plain phone call, with no app or video needed. We write in everyday words and keep text readable at large sizes.

## Ask for what you need.

If something on our website, in a portal or in a visit is hard to use, we want to hear about it.

- A qualified sign language interpreter or captioning for a visit.
- Written information in large print, audio or an accessible electronic format.
- Extra time, a phone visit instead of video, or help completing a form.
- A report of a barrier on the website or in a portal, so we can fix it.

## What we are still improving.

- Video embedded from third-party services may not be fully captioned or described. Ask us for a transcript or a summary and we will provide one.
- If you find anything else that gets in your way, tell us. Reports help us decide what to fix first.
