We help people on Medi-Cal see a psychiatrist or a therapist by video. The care stays in the hands of licensed clinicians.
Dependable care for Medi-Cal communities
We help members reach licensed psychiatrists and therapists by video. When your Medi-Cal plan qualifies, the visit costs you nothing.

Why we started
Rishi Sachdev started TalkDoc after living with anxiety, and seeing how quickly support can fall away when someone needs it most. The mission is a plain one: make mental healthcare on Medicaid easier to reach, led by licensed clinicians, and worth trusting.
Doctors decide.
Licensed clinicians diagnose, prescribe, and make the treatment decisions. The software we build supports them in that work. It does not practice on its own.
Getting in, and staying in.
Being able to get an appointment matters. Staying connected to your clinician after that matters next. We measure both, and we work to improve both over time.
Honest claims.
How soon you are seen depends on how much clinician time we have. Whether a visit costs you nothing depends on your eligibility. When a number comes from us, we say that it does.
TalkDoc is not emergency care
Our appointments are scheduled ahead of time. If you are in danger, call 911. For crisis support, call or text 988.

California first
We began with people covered by Medi-Cal in California, and that is still who we serve.
