Frequently asked questions

Talkdoc is a health platform aimed at making healthcare more accessible than ever before. Using simple, yet impactful technology, we’re able to reduce wait times for patients and increase beneficial outcomes from treatment, while paying our clinicians fairly and offering superior benefits, like working remotely.
Signing up for Talkdoc is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Start by meeting with our credentialing team, who will help to get all the required paperwork signed and submitted to our credentialing partners. Then wait a couple weeks and you’ll be matched with a care coordinator, who will collect your availability and manage your schedule.
Talkdoc hires MDs, DOs, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, LMFTs/LCSWs (and associates), and Clinical Psychologists.
No, Talkdoc clinicians can be located wherever they want around the globe, as long as they’re licensed in California.

Not licensed in California yet? Don't worry, we'll work with you to get CA-licensed as part of the onboarding and credentialing process to make sure you're ready to see clients on day one.
There is no minimum number of hours, however we recommend a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week to ensure patients are getting the care they need. Nevertheless, you are allowed to set your own schedule. Feel free to work on weekends, evenings, mornings, or during the day.
