TalkDoc is a simple path to licensed mental-health care for eligible Medi-Cal members. Check coverage, meet a clinician by video, and stay connected so outcomes can improve—not just appointments.

Creating an account does not guarantee coverage, a particular clinician, or an appointment date.

    When capacity and coverage allow, choose psychiatry, therapy, or both—with a real professional who leads every decision.

    Start care—often this week

    Join a secure video visit. Many people are seen within about seven days when appointments are open.

    Stay connected for better outcomes

    Ongoing visits, coordination, and support tools help you stay in care—so progress builds instead of restarting after every crisis.

Virtual talk therapy with a licensed therapist where TalkDoc has an available clinician for your location and coverage.

Care coordination

Help with scheduling, coverage questions, and using the patient portal. Coordinators do not replace a clinician or emergency service.

What to know before you start.

What Medi-Cal plans do you accept?

We currently work with Alameda Alliance for Health, San Francisco Health Plan, Central California Alliance for Health, and Contra Costa Health Plan. Sign up to check your exact eligibility—plan rules and capacity still apply.

Does creating an account guarantee coverage?

No. TalkDoc can help review your information, but your health plan makes the final coverage and payment decisions. Referrals, authorizations, deductibles, copays, or other plan rules may apply.

How soon can I get an appointment?

Many people get a first video visit within about a week when capacity is available. Timing depends on the service requested, location, coverage checks, and open appointments—we do not promise a particular date.

Why does TalkDoc talk about outcomes?

We measure more than whether someone booked once. Access, continuity, and hospital use are how we know care is working for Medi-Cal members—and how we keep improving the network for the next person.

Does AI provide my treatment?

No. AI may help with limited support or administrative tasks, but it does not independently diagnose, prescribe, or make treatment decisions. A licensed clinician is responsible for your care.

What should I do in a crisis?

TalkDoc is not an emergency service. Call 911 in an emergency. If you are thinking about suicide or may harm yourself or someone else, call or text 988 or seek immediate local help.
