Which Medi-Cal plans do you accept?
TalkDoc currently works with Alameda Alliance for Health, San Francisco Health Plan, Central California Alliance for Health, and Contra Costa Health Plan. Your county, service needs, capacity, and plan rules also affect eligibility.
Is care really $0?
Covered visits are $0 for many eligible members with qualifying Medi-Cal plans. Authorizations, referrals, network status, and other plan rules still apply.
How soon can I be seen?
Many people receive a first appointment within about a week when capacity is available. Timing depends on coverage, location, needs, and open appointments. We do not promise a specific date.
What if I don't have good internet, or a computer?
A phone call is enough. Medi-Cal covers audio-only visits on the same terms as video, so a phone visit is a real visit—same clinician, same care, same $0 for eligible members. You do not need a computer, a smartphone app, or a fast connection.
Will AI diagnose or treat me?
No. Your treating clinician makes diagnosis and treatment decisions. Only appropriately licensed prescribers make medication decisions. AI has a limited support role only.
Is TalkDoc an emergency service?
