Start with ACCESS

  • Call 800-491-9099 (24/7) or 510-533-5018 (TTY) to request screenings and referrals.
  • Mention your Medi-Cal or managed care plan (Alameda Alliance for Health or Anthem Blue Cross).
  • Ask about community clinics, culturally specific providers, substance use treatment, or urgent appointments.

ACBH partners with community-based organizations for outpatient therapy, psychiatry, crisis stabilization, and mobile response. If you receive managed care, you can also contact your plan for additional network options.

When it is urgent

  • Call 988 or 911 for life-threatening emergencies.
  • Use the John George Psychiatric Emergency Service (2060 Fairmont Dr., San Leandro) for crisis stabilization.
  • Youth and families can contact the Mobile Crisis Response Team at 510-891-5600.
Transportation assistance to appointments may be available through your Medi-Cal managed care plan. Call the number on your card to request non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT or NMT).
