San Francisco Behavioral Health Services operates the county mental health plan for Medi-Cal members. Start by contacting the 24/7 Access and Crisis Line to request routine or urgent care.

How to connect

  • Call 415-255-3737 or 888-246-3333 (toll free) for the Behavioral Health Access Line.
  • Explain that you have Medi-Cal or Medi-Cal Managed Care through San Francisco Health Plan or Anthem Blue Cross.
  • Request referrals for outpatient therapy, psychiatry, substance use treatment, or crisis programs that fit your needs.

San Francisco Health Network clinics, Community Behavioral Health Services, and contracted community providers deliver care ranging from counseling to intensive outpatient services. Many offer services in multiple languages.
